Oasic SACCO was started in (Year) to offer individuals and businesses affordable financial products and services. The SACCO was committed to giving its members affordable financial products and services. Since then, the SACCO has continued to grow, allowing individuals to own their dream assets and providing support services to businesspeople. The SACCO accommodates people from all counties and different economic activities, thus giving its members a platform to network and learn from each other. Oasic SACCO has continued to grow. As of January 2025, our membership stood at 4000.

2007-Our Foundation

OASIC SACCO was established in 2007 with a clear mission: to provide accessible and affordable financial solutions to our members trough a cooperative model built on trust, integrity and mutual growth.

From the very beginning, the SACCO set out to serve members who needed reliable savings and credit facilities to improve their livelihood and strengthen their economic stability.

2007-2010-Laying Strong Foundations

In the early years, OASIC SACCO focused on building a strong membership base, established sound governance systems, and promoting a culture of saving and responsible borrowing among members.

2007 – The Beginning

OASIC SACCO officially opened its doors in 2007. Like many cooperative societies, we began with a simple but powerful goal:
to provide reliable, affordable financial services that would help our members improve their lives.

2007–2010 – Building Our Foundation

The early years were all about laying strong foundations. During this time, we focused on:

Encouraging a strong saving culture

Establishing sound governance and operations

Building trust with our growing membership

Many of the members who joined us during this period remain part of the OASIC SACCO family today — something we are truly grateful for.

2011–2015 – Walking with Our Members

As the SACCO continued to grow, so did the impact on our members’ lives. This period was marked by many proud moments, including seeing members:

Expand and establish businesses through our credit facilities

Purchase land, vehicles, and business machinery

Address important needs such as school fees and household expenses

We also witnessed challenges — when members faced difficult times — and we stood with them through those moments as well.

2016–2019 – Expanding Our Reach

With increased membership and demand for our services, OASIC SACCO strengthened its operations and expanded its reach beyond Nyeri County.

Through agents and field officers, we were able to support members in:

Nairobi

Western Kenya

Other regions across the country

This expansion ensured that distance did not become a barrier to accessing SACCO services.

2020–2024 – Resilience and Continuity

These years tested many institutions, including financial organizations. Through it all, OASIC SACCO remained committed to supporting its members by:

2025 – A New Chapter: Kiamabara Branch

In 2025, OASIC SACCO marked another important milestone with the opening of a new branch at Kiamabara. This expansion reflects our continued commitment to bringing services closer to our members and improving service delivery.

Plans are also underway to establish additional service centres, including in Nairobi and Nakuru, to better serve members in these regions.
